Once you reach the other side successfully, ditch the Dry Bones for a Sherm and open fire on your other attackers. However, you’ll have to dodge rising pillars of magma, and incoming shots from the Sherm tanks on the other side. There are a few winged Dry Bones here, and you can use them to fly from the starting platform across the lava. Head up the path to see a giant lava pit below you, and drop down from the grates to the platform below. It appears Bowser has been quite busy decorating the inside of the moon. When you reach the far platform, look right to use a flower under an octopus to get more Moon Kingdom Purple Coins, then go left past the checkpoint to enter a large tunnel. While there’s a smaller, broken path below, you can also grab the Speed Boost Flowers to give yourself a running leap over the chasm to the next area. Up ahead, go North to find more rock enemies and several pillars of those strange cubes you can long jump between to reach more Moon Kingdom Purple Coins.ĭown on the next plateau, Bowser’s track end at a steep ridge with quite a distance to the next platform. Nearby, check the rocks in the crater s to find a glowing one holding a Power Moon. Do a sideflip to get above him and ground pound to take him out, then claim the Moon Kingdom Purple Coins he was guarding. Like that boss, he’ll fire spiked shells at you, but you no longer need a fish to gain a height advantage over him. They tend to strafe from side to side, so plan your jump in advance to get past, and then long jump to the ridge on the far side.ĭown here, there’s a floating octopus quite reminiscent of the boss you fought at the Seaside Kingdom. Head down the path to the North and turn West to cross those spiky rock enemies you found in Seaside Kingdom.
There’s also a large plateau nearby with a flower behind it you can use to climb up to reach some Moon Kingdom Purple Coins.
You’ll have access to space jumps to move even higher, and jumping up will reveal blocks to reach it.
For starters, there’s a small crater right behind the Odyssey beneath the shadow of a Power Moon overhead.
